Trainee Composite Technicians

Job Title:      Trainee Factory Operative / Composite Technician

Job Purpose: To train an individual in all aspects of carbon composite component and mould manufacturing to a high-quality standard; whilst compliant to drawings and directives and ensuring that all standard operations, policies and procedures are adhered to.

Job Scope:  
                    To train in the following Departments
                                AutoClave
                                Crack Out 
                                Bonding & Prep Rooms
                                Laminating Department
                                Trim Shop
                         

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
              

To arrive and be ready for work at the correct agreed start time.
Responsible for, and completing all work assigned on schedule. 
Report to and support your assigned supervisory leader at all times.
When allocated a job card conform to customer specification/standards, taking full responsibility for workmanship.
Ensure drawing(s) and lay-up book(s) scheduled are the correct Issue/Revision level to match the scheduled Works Order.
Compliance to Standard procedure CPC-17-058 Cleanroom etiquette when in the Cleanroom.
Ensure lay-up procedures and component traceability procedures are maintained in accordance with ISO9001:2008
Fully comply with all Company Policies including Health and Safety at all times.
Undergo any training courses required of you in relation to job skills, Health and Safety or Company Policies.
Assist with correct material handling standard procedures when required.
Any other reasonable duties as required.
Maximise personal productivity.

Job Objective:  

To become a versatile competent Composite Technician level that can specialise 
and develop their skills in a chosen department.

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Hours: 41.25 core working week. 07:00 – 15:45 Monday to Friday (+ additional hours at overtime rate subject operational requirements.)

Pay: Subject to CPC training pay scale structure.
